Keep your friends close and your creatives closer. Why we consider our team part of The Family.

One of the best parts of running Frank & Earnest is that we rarely do things solo.

Behind almost every project we’re proud of is a constellation of clever, creative, generous people we genuinely love working with. Designers. Videographers. Photographers. Animators. Web developers. Strategists. Writers. Producers. The list goes on.

Some we’ve worked with for years. Some we’ve only just met. Some are based down the road. Others are scattered across the country.

And honestly? We reckon the work is always better because of it.

The longer we do this work, the more we realise we were never building a supplier list. We were building The Family. A network of people we trust to do brilliant work, tell the truth, pull together under pressure and occasionally tolerate our “just one more tiny tweak” messages.

We’ve never cared for building a giant agency full of hierarchy and people using the word “synergy” without irony. What we do care about is building strong creative relationships with people who are brilliant at what they do.

People who care about the work and meet deadlines without needing 17 follow-up emails. People secure enough in their craft not to turn every round of feedback into a blood feud.

And, very importantly, people who know how to laugh at themselves occasionally. Because while we take our work seriously, we don’t take ourselves seriously.

A lot of our clients are regionally based businesses, organisations and communities, so people with regional experience or understanding are always an especially nice fit because regional storytelling often requires a slightly different lens.

You need to understand community. Relationships. Nuance. Practicality.

Regional work runs on relationships. Reputation. Community memory. You need to understand nuance, practicality and how to get things done without 10 layers of approvals and often to a champagne standard on a goon budget.

You also need to appreciate that some of the most interesting stories, smartest businesses and creatively ambitious projects are happening well outside the capital cities.

That’s the stuff we love.

We’re always quietly keeping an eye out for new collaborators and creative partners – whether that’s for one-off projects, overflow support or long-term working relationships.

So if you’re the kind of creative who values good relationships, honest communication and work that feels collaborative rather than transactional, you might just be our kind of people. At Frank & Earnest, The Family is always open to a few more excellent humans who do bloody good work.
