Frankly: Off you trot, Year of the Snake
I love a symbolic fresh start. Give me a new notebook, a new financial year, a new Monday, a new anything and suddenly I have goals, systems and suspicious levels of optimism.
So, when the Chinese Lunar Calendar casually drops in a once-in-a-60-year Fire Horse and whispers new era energy, you better believe I’m grabbing my metaphorical pom-poms.
Now, full disclosure: I am not Chinese. I am also not fluent in Chinese astrology. My knowledge sits somewhere between “read a few articles” and “vibes-based optimism.” But when I hear the words Year of the Fire Horse and big change, I do not ask follow-up questions. I simply say: yes please, I’ll take two.
Because frankly? The idea that the cosmos is ushering in a bold, fiery, forward-charging season feels deeply on-brand for 2026.
Off you trot, Year of the Snake! You did your slithery best. No hard feelings.
We are ready for movement. Momentum. Slightly chaotic good energy. New opportunities. Braver decisions. Bigger swings.
Whether it’s astrology, coincidence or collective delusion, I don’t particularly care.
If the universe says it’s a winning era, I am enthusiastically clocking on.
